Vanderbilt football began the 2020 season with a trip to College Station, Texas, to take on No. 10/11 Texas A&M.
During pregame, the Commodores and every SEC team wore Together: It Just Means More t-shirts.
Texas native Ken Seals was selected as Vanderbilt's starting quarterback. He became the third true freshman in SEC history to start in a season opener.
Vanderbilt marched down the field on its opening drive and took a 3-0 lead on a Pierson Cooke 33-yard field goal. The Commodores trailed 7-5 at the end of the opening half.
With just under three minutes remaining in the third quarter, Ken Seals found Amir Abdur-Rahman in the back corner of the end zone for a seven-yard touchdown.
Down 17-12 with under 11 minutes to play, sophomore defensive lineman Daevion Davis forced and recovered a fumble to give the Commodores the ball at their own 42-yard line.
