Vanderbilt blanks Presbyterian in Nashville Regional opener.

For the eighth time in program history, Vanderbilt is hosting an NCAA regional. The Commodores began with a 10-0 Friday victory.

Head coach Tim Corbin earned his 900th career victory with Friday's triumph against Presbyterian, the school where he began his head coaching career.

Pregame on Jess Neely Drive featured the Fan Fest. The event returns at 11 a.m. Saturday leading up to first pitch at 6 p.m.

Vanderbilt scored three runs in the first, second and seventh and added its last in the bottom of the eighth.

A bases-loaded Troy LaNeve double in the first gave Vanderbilt a 3-0 lead.

Dominic Keegan blasted his 12th home run of the season in the second to give the Commodores a 6-0 advantage.

Starting pitcher Kumar Rocker went seven innings and allowed just two hits while striking out nine.

In the seventh, Keegan blasted his second homer of the game to give Vandy an 8-0 lead.

A LaNeve single in the bottom of the seventh plated Isaiah Thomas for a 9-0 Vanderbilt lead.

Thomas completed Vanderbilt's scoring effort with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth.

Thomas Schultz and Ethan Smith went the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, and struck out three without allowing just one hit.
