The Commodores arrived at Vanderbilt Stadium ready to face their third ranked foe of the season with No. 6 Florida.

Salute to Service

Vanderbilt Athletics honored service members as part of Salute to Service activities throughout the week. On Sunday, each member of the Vanderbilt team was paired with a Fort Campbell soldier to learn more about his or her life and service. The American flag was featured on Vanderbilt's helmets and sideline gear.

101st Airborne Division

In connection to Salute to Service, the Commodores’ helmets had a sticker featuring the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.

Wounded Warriors Honored

Additional fan cutouts inside Vanderbilt Stadium Saturday were of Wounded Warrior Project members.

First Half: Defense Stays Tough

Vanderbilt held Florida to 37 yards rushing during the opening half.

Chris Pierce Jr. Strikes Again

Chris Pierce Jr. scored his second touchdown of the day with 2:01 remaining in the third quarter. Pierce Jr. has at least one receiving score in four consecutive games, the first for a Commodore since Chris Boyd in from Oct. 27-Nov. 17, 2012.

Defense Gets a Turnover

Safety Dashaun Jerkins forced his second fumble of the season to give the Commodores the ball back in the fourth quarter. Freshman De'Rickey Wright recovered his first career fumble on the play.
