Nashville native concludes Vandy career at NCAA Singles Championship

Fifth-year senior George Harwell set to compete in his first NCAA Singles Championship.

Harwell, ranked 31st-nationally, is set to compete against No. 30 Chris Rodesch of Virginia, who's coming off an NCAA Championship team title.

Rodesch got off to a quick start to win the first set, 6-3, but Harwell is ready to battle back.

The fans and team came out in full force on Monday to support Harwell one last time!

In his last tournament of his career, Harwell claws back in the second set to make it 3-0 halfway through.

Harwell fell short to Rodesch in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, but leaves behind a decorated Vandy career.

Harwell ends a storied Vandy career with 100 career singles wins and became the first Commodore to reach the NCAA Singles Championship since 2018.
