Prior to the team's sendoff from the DoubleTree Omaha Downtown Hotel, Vanderbilt radio personalities Kevin Ingram and Andrew Allegretta met with fans and talked all things VandyBoys at the College World Series.

Vanderbilt fans cheered on the team as it departed for the ballpark Friday morning.

Vanderbilt prepped for its fourth game of this summer's College World Series.

Vanderbilt signed autographs for, took pictures with and spoke to fans prior to Friday's contest.

Game On

Vanderbilt lined up for the program's 27th College World Series game.

The Commodores own 19 wins in 27 College World Series games, one behind Arizona State for the record.

Rock Solid

Kumar Rocker made his fourth career College World Series start and went six innings, allowed five hits and one run while walking one and striking out 11.

In Rocker's four College World Series appearances he has 24 innings pitched with six earned runs allowed on 18 hits and four walks while striking out 35.

Six Up, Six Whiffed

Rocker became the first pitcher to strike out the first six batters of a College World Series game since Virginia’s Danny Hultzen against South Carolina on June 24, 2011.

Vanderbilt fans cheered on the Commodores in Omaha.

Offense Breaks Through

After going hitless through three innings the Commodores got on the board in the top of the fourth to take a 2-0 lead.

Up, On and In

Dominic Keegan (above) led off reaching on a throwing error, moved to second on a Troy LaNeve bunt, advanced to third on a Javier Vaz groundout to the pitcher and scored on a single through left side from CJ Rodriguez.

Wild in Omaha. Again.

After a single by Parker Noland and Spencer Jones being hit by a pitch loaded the bases, Rodriguez came home on a Garrett Payne wild pitch.

Leaving Them Stranded

After NC State scored once in the bottom of the fifth to make it a 2-1 Vanderbilt lead, Rocker bounced back and struck out Jonny Butler to strand a pair and end the frame.
